Carpenter
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cut and assemble lumber and/or steel for exterior and interior framing
- Cut, hang and tape drywall
- Install window frames and windows
- Install door frames, doors, and hardware
- Install insulation.
- Tape and finish drywall
- Install trim, cabinets and other finish work
- Install acoustical ceilings
- Follow instructions from the job foreman
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Assist with keeping the job site and work areas clear of debris
Qualifications
- Must have and maintain current OSHA 10 card
- Use various hand and power tools
- Use electric scissor lift and follow safety procedures while on the lift
- Familiarity with checking lifts, ladders and other tools for safety and defects prior to use
Working Conditions
- Work outside in cold and hot temperatures
- Work in unfinished spaces that may not have heat or air conditioning
- Work on lifts and scaffolding
Physical Requirements
- Carry/lift material up to 55 pounds
- Climb ladders as needed
- Stand for long periods of time
- Ability to reach/lift overhead for long periods of time
Expectations
- Limit use of cell phones to breaks and emergencies only during working hours
- Show up dressed appropriately with safety gear (i.e. hard hat, eye protection, safety shoes)
- Have the following personal tools with you:
- Hammer
- Screw gun
- 50’ or 100’ extension cord, GFI protected
- Pocket Laser
- Measuring Tape
- Level
- Complete Tool Pouch
- Drywall knife and blades
